One of the ways I recoup the cost of providing so much awesome content for free is by sharing affiliate links on this website for the affiliate programs that I’m a member of. Sometimes I include affiliate links in the pages and posts on this website, and/or in my newsletter. If you click those links and choose to buy something, I might earn a tiny commission — and this happens at no extra cost to you. In fact, using an affiliate link instead of going directly to the site you want to shop from is one of the easiest ways to support your favorite independent content creators like me. And sometimes, my affiliate link will get you a discount.

For example, I’m a member of the affiliate programs at Bookshop and Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. Same thing at Bookshop — if you use my Bookshop links to buy books from their site, I earn a small commission because I helped you find your way to their website, and I share my list of recommended books there. Bookshop is also an especially fabulous place to buy books because they donate a portion of each sale to local bookstores.
