We Should Get Together

When I released We Should Get Together in January 2020, it was in response to the rising rates of loneliness, isolation, and platonic longing felt by millions of adults around the world. Upon its release it immediately began delivering on that purpose, helping people around the planet experience more success in establishing and deepening their platonic relationships. A book tour with multiple events, speaking engagements and gatherings was ready to roll.

Then the COVID-19 pandemic came barreling around the globe, and all face-to-face connections came to a screeching halt. We can’t get together, but we still need each other, now more than ever.

For the sake of everyone’s health and the critical needs of our healthcare infrastructure, it’s crucial that we not get together in person right now— but we can still nurture new friendships and bolster existing ones from afar. We need to strengthen these bonds now to help get us through the challenging weeks and months ahead.

Please, for your own health and the health of others, stay inside right now as completely as you can. But don’t feel like you need to weather the storm alone. We should get together, virtually, for now. And check out my new booklet Connected from Afar to help you deepen your friendships from a distance. Together, we’ll get through this.
